The links you already send — an invoice, a proposal, a change order, the project page — show your client how each amount was reached, in their words, never your cost or margin. Nothing new is sent; the link they have opens the proof.
On a shared invoice the amount opens How this amount was reached: the schedule of values they agreed, what was billed before and this period, what is held back until the work is accepted, what is paid and what is still to pay. The application for payment the invoice was drawn with reads the same way, under How the project stands.
Open Invoicing →A schedule line written From the budget reads the measured lines beneath it — Measured on A-201 — 2 lengths, 120 LF at 1/4" = 1'-0" — the fact of the measurement, never the drawing itself. A shared proposal's total opens its lines and the sheet under a measured one; a shared change order's amount opens its lines.
Open Proposals →As the page opens, the arithmetic your figures are checked against every night runs again: Checked just now: the schedule adds up to the invoice. When an amount was edited after its schedule, the page shows both figures and asks your client to ask you — it never hides a difference.
