Bid requests: packages, quotes, leveling, award

A bid package is frozen when it goes out, the trades price it on their own links, the quotes level on one grid, and the award — the whole bid or line by line — writes the purchase orders and the budget's committed column without retyping.

1. Build the package

On the job's Bids tab a package names the budget lines it covers and carries the specs the trades need — attach sections from the Specs tab. Send it and the package is frozen: what the trades priced is what you read.

2. Trades price on their own link

Each trade gets a signed link and prices the lines there — no account to make. Prices land on the leveling grid as they come in; a trade that passes can decline from the same page.

3. Level the quotes

Every quote on one grid: the low line marked, each cell's rate per unit, a trade's exclusions, and your plugs and de-scopes under Adjustments so every bidder is read on the same scope. Vendor total and the leveled totals read beneath the lines.

4. Award — the whole bid, or line by line

Award all takes one bidder for the package. Click a cell to award that line to that bidder, or cherry-pick the lowest on every line. The grid shows who holds each line and each bidder's awarded sum; the award writes one purchase order per bidder with their lines, and the budget's committed column reads it at once.

5. The board across jobs

Bid requests lists every package across your jobs — what is out, what came back, what is awarded — so nothing waits unseen.
